Shanique |
Shanique is a Jamaican woman, mother,
sister and friend. She is a Master of Social Work graduate and Child Protection
Worker. She has been in the field of social work for over 13 years and is
passionate about advocacy, especially for people from marginalized communities.
In 2010 Shanique published a poetry book entitled “Me in You”. This book explored
themes such as domestic violence, poverty and crime. As a Dub- Poet, actress,
writer and prayer warrior, Shanique is enthused about sharing a part of her life
with you.
Tamara is also a Jamaican woman. She is a Master of Human
Resources Management graduate and Manager in the Social Services field. She is
testing her skills at writing, as she feels that she has much to contribute to
others, through the lens of her daily life. She is passionate about children,
family and friendships. Tamara is a sister and a friend. She is married for 13
years and is the mother of 3 children. She holds leadership positions within
her church community and has experience in building and sustaining productive
teams.
This is an invitation to you, to read their
bi-weekly blog. This blog is intended for everyone; men, women, young, old, people
from every creed, country or culture. Their goal is to impact everyone,
through discussion on topics or issues that either they or their readers are
interested in. In doing so, they hope to enlighten, provoke thought, inform or cause
readers to recognize that they are not alone.
Look out for topics such as:
“Watch Out World “, “Warrior Inside of Me”, “Raising Children” and many
more.
